I’m very happy with the tattoo that I got in memory of Shady Lady.  It’s been a month so it’s healed, looking good, and I’ll post more photos soon.  My next piece will have a Coney Island / Brooklyn / sideshow-ish pin-up theme which I’ve been thinking about for a long time now.  My friend Todd came by last night and he showed me a huge 40+ hour piece that he’s in the middle of getting on his shoulder and chest.  He then sees my collection of empty Shmaltz Brewery bottles on the shelf in my kitchen and excitedly tells me that it’s his tattoo artist.  It turns out he’s getting his tight looking tattoo by Dave Wallin, the illustrator of these collector Coney Island beer bottles.  After checking out his site it appears that I’ll be going to Dave for my next piece especially considering what I have in mind for it.
