What's your favorite Chinese Restaurant in the...
adamiss:
My mind’s been on it the last few days. Here are my favorites:
Big Wong King - NYC
Grand Sichuan - NYC (get the hot pot)
Little Pepper - Flushing
Spicy & Tasty - Flushing
Got anything a bit more under the radar? And I know I’m not being original here, but why should LA tacos get all the love?
This list is great to have and I look forward to hearing other people’s...

break a sweat
This is not meant to be a sob story, though I’ve been feeling really off lately. Sluggish, unmotivated, and easily agitated. Though, since I’ve been back in the gym I feel like a million fucking bucks. It’s really amazing what a good sweat can do for the body and mind.

White House Unbuttons Formal Dress Code - NYTimes.com
“Although his presidency is barely a week old, some of Mr. Obama’s work habits are already becoming clear. He shows up at the Oval Office shortly before 9 in the morning, roughly two hours later than his early-to-bed, early-to-rise predecessor. Mr. Obama likes to have his workout — weights and cardio — first thing in the morning, at...

From the shameless self-promotion files:
I know we have more pressing things to talk about these days—the economy, climate change, the new president—but I’m going to barge in this morning with a warning about something a bit more niche.
When you’re posting to Twitter about something you’re watching on TV, make sure nobody thinks it’s really happening!

KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL
** A true story according to Snopes. I’m not much of a sports fan, though after reading this I will be rooting for the Arizona Cardinals, no doubt.
“In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4.
Kurtis was almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the call....

is your bed made?
(via dragonflyleadlight)
Yes, everyday. I don’t know if it’s because my parents made me, or if it was sleep away camp that drilled it into my head. At camp they would do that old bouncing a quarter on the bed, and make us take a bite of a bar of soap when we cursed, but that’s a whole other story..

Do you take your shoes off when entering someone's...
I always do, though after flipping through a few websites I came to realize that it’s not as common as I thought but more a culture, or religious gesture. I learned that, on the flip side, there are even some people who would be offended if you took off your shoes in their home. And that it is even argued that feet are more disgusting than the dirt on people’s shoes!?
