It’s funny, coach pulled up next to me during bike practice today and asked if I’ve been drinking.. for a quick moment I wondered what I did last night.. and what made him ask? ..meanwhile, he was referring to my water bottles to make sure I was hydrating during the ride.
..spending an hour in the pool doing drills, putting 52 miles on my bike, and running 6 miles is an awesome way to start a beautiful Spring day in January!

A great morning, ran the Ted Corbitt 15K in Central Park, my first NYRR race in 25 years since running 5K’s with my Dad as a kid.. who says I’m getting old? my pace was better than ever, 8:19/mile.. I’m real happy with that and look forward to seeing more improvement this winter.

I’m liking my improved running pace.. 2+ loops of Central Park’s rolling hills, 14.2 miles in 1 hour, 59 minutes. And that marks the end of our 7th week of Ironman training.. only 36 to go..

To answer your question - I asked the same thing, the dude apparently placed the laptop down perfectly for the photo when the cops came in. No one expected such a good shot. It almost looks staged!
I knocked 2 minutes off my best 3 loop Central Park time trial this morning - 18.3 miles in 52 minutes / 21mph average - I’m very happy!
..my first experience with Apple was in ‘83 on my Uncle’s IIE - my Dad bought us the IIGS in ‘86 - it’s amazing, that was 25 years ago, near the window overlooking the ocean in Trump.. we subscribed to America Online in ‘88 long before the Internet as we know it. I’ve owned about 8 Apple computers since - my favorite is still the Pismo, a G3 laptop in 2000....

A bit sad, salvaging the last few items from my apartment that weren’t ruined in the flood before officially moving out of Jersey City this week.. so many incredible memories of this place over the last decade.. especially all the great times we had in the backyard..
FEMA stopped by my place this morning.. I’m curious to see what they end up doing for me. According to the inspector my TVs are “essential items” and will be reimbursed but the food in my fridge won’t be. Hilarious.

My apartment is still under 3 feet of water.. it looks like a war zone in there.. furniture floating everywhere.. I’m sitting on the stoop with Shady Lady’s cremains and my backup drive figuring out my next move.. There’s a reason for everything, right?
We’re going to get rocked by this hurricane.. my ground floor apartment has flooded twice in the last decade, I have no doubt it will happen again this weekend.. ah, it is what it is.. I won’t lie, I’m excited for the storm.. though, I hope for everyone’s safety and minimal damage!
